When did Sonu Nigam turn a Music Director ?
But then what you read, is not what it is. The truth is, he has not turned a Music Director. Then what's his name doing under the heading 'Music' ? A million dollar question, indeed.
"Sonu is my personal friend.", explains the director of the serial, Niraj Pathak, unraveling the mystery. "I wanted Sonu to do the lead role in the serial. This is was about year-and-a-half back. But at that time his song from the film 'Pardes' became a big hit. He turned down my request saying he wanted to concentrate on singing. So I told him to give music for the serial. He was hesitant in the beginning, but I persuaded him till he agreed." Sonu has obliged Niraj by agreeing to give music exclusively for him. Otherwise, officially, he has not turned a music director. Sonu could not be contacted for his comments. "He is trifle busy now-a-days.", says his PRO. "But definitely, Sonu has not turned music director" he confirms.
