Sonu Nigam started out eight years ago with T-Series. He used to do covers of hit songs for Gulshan Kumar. Sa Re Ga Ma has made him a household name today. His album Deewana sold more than 10 lakh copies, and his film songs are doing just as well (Satrangi Re from Dil Se and What is Mobile Number from Haseena Man Jayegi to name a few). As if all this wasn't enough, he also has producers queueing up outside his door, not to sign him on as a play back singer, though he is one of the best around, but as the
lead. Last heard he had Sixteen offers lying with him. But Sonu hasn't signed any yet....waiting for the right one he says. He has given up Sa Re Ga Ma to concentrate on his music he says, not to join films! Not yet anyways. Lets hope that his new album Jaan does as well as Deewana
