Sonu has worked with the top movie producers and music directors in the country. His role as the host of the TV serial "Sa Re Ga Ma" brought Sonu in contact with India's topmost exponents of music. The interaction was not just limited to vocalists but also instrumentalists as well as fresh talent in the field of music. Sa Re Ga Ma proved to be a learning experience, opening new vistas musically.
The music serial's popularity was also directly related to Sonu's charisma. He has also tried his hand in releasing an Indi-Pop album, "Kismat" which was quite a success.
