Back In Groove (B.I.G): Executive Producer: Earl "DeSI" Ferns

B.I.G. released by Desi Records, is a milestone in North American history. It is the first Hindi Remix Album produced with fresh vocals from top Bombay Playback singers. The song features the top international artist Sonu Nigam singing the Hindi vocals and a local twenty-three year old rap phenomenon, Spice. The vocals were recorded in Bombay and the music production was completed in North America by producer earl "DeSI" Ferns. Ferns in collaboration with his business partner Raj Syal set off to Bombay to produce the first ever Hindi cover versions to be released by a North American company. Desi Records is also the first in the world to fly an Indian artist to North America for the sole purpose of shooting a music video. The song is a remake of the old Seventies film song 'O Mere Dil Ke Chain' from the film 'Mere Jeevan Saathi'. The video was shot at various locations in the city of Toronto by Calibre films. The girls in the video are from a range of the ethnic backgrounds representing the cultural mosaic of North American culture. This video will mark the first East Indian video shot in North America on 16mm film.

Sonu Nigam:

This twenty-three year old singing sensation has traveled the world twice over sharing his angelic voice with people of all ages and backgrounds. His music has no barriers and captivates the hearts of all who have listened.career began at an early age of three His and a half. Being the son of two professional singers, it was only natural that his vocals hoisted him to stardom. At the young age of eighteen, Sonu was the youngest playback singer in the Bombay film industry. Trained in classical music, Sonu is one of the few artist's which can blend western and Hindi vocals together. With such early hit soundtracks such as Bewafa Sanam, he was given the opportunity to work with top music directors. Soon after he began hosting his own television show called Sa-Re-Ga-Ma which is a showcase of young Indian talent. This show, which is broadcast in fifty-two countries on Zee International, quickly made Sonu a world wide commodity. His good looks and charm landed him the role of Aladdin in the Hindi dub version. He has worked on big budget Hindi films such as Border, Aur Pyar Hogeya, Hero No. 1 and Pardes.

Earl "DeSI" Ferns:
Ferns began his professional career producing local artists and fostering the local Hindi-pop scene in North America. Ferns has worked with artist's such as Jazzy B., Sardool Sikander and Surjit Bindrakia on the hit album Big Boom which became an international hit. He his currently working with DJ Jiten and Sonu Nigam on an original Hindi project.
