The album conceived and supervised by Sonu, will see him combine the best of both the worlds wherein he has attempted to synergise his rich Indian musical heritage with internationally appealing and contemporary tunes. All the songs have a definite feel good listen to them.
Mausam packs in a lot of different music styles like the Calypso, Jazz, Rock, Hindustani light classical and Indian folk all very harmoniously. The energised video of the song Bijuria from Sonu Nigam's pop album Mausam has a mix of computer animated graphics and groovy dance sequences wherein a girl whose car has broken down enters a house for help where she encounters friendly ghosts who she later befriends. Born in Faridabad on 30th July, Sonu Nigam lived his formative years in
New Delhi. During his teens, Sonu came to Mumbai aspiring for that ultimate break in the music industry and after years of struggle finally broke through the rigid industry and since then he's never looked back.
From top film producers and directors like J.P. Dutta, Subhash Ghai, Mani Ratnam, John Matthew, Umesh Mehra to top music directors like Laxmikant Pyarelal, A.R. Rehman, Anu Malik and Jatin-Lalit, Sonu has worked with them all. Sonu Nigam's previous albums were Kismat and Sanskar.
